Remo Cino was born and raised in Hamilton Ontario which borders the western edge of Lake
Ontario which has long been considered the Steel Capital of Canada. While working in the steel
mills was the family’s main livelihood, music runs throughout Remo’s large extended family and
Remo has continued those family traditions for 25 years. Writing his first song at the age of nine
and fronting his first band “Blueprints” at the age of twelve, he has continued to write music and
front for several bands while working in the steel mills. As a vocalist, guitarist, and adept at the
drums and keyboards, Remo’s songs span many genres including Pop, Country, and Rock, but
most impressive are Remo’s heartfelt lyrics that remind you of the poetic tunes of Dan Fogleberg
or folk stories of Bob Dylan. Remo’s initial influence was the Beatles which is evident in his
songwriting that reflects strict attention to hooks and melodies. Not surprising, Remo also enjoys
drawing and painting using the same attention to the craft as he does with songwriting.
Commercially Remo’s successes include releasing 2 CD’s, an independent feature film, being
showcased on TV news, and several radio commercials. Currently he is working as a songwriter
on a debut album for a Country Rock Band scheduled for release in early 2012.
Inspired and strengthened by his family Remo now divides his time between working as a full time
songwriter and spending time with his wife and daughter. Remo also volunteers for the annual
CANUSA games, and names _______________ as his favorite charity.
Clearly Remo’s passion is songwriting, and he loves his “job”. Listen to Remo’s songs and
you will be singing along the first time you hear them!
